?Sen. LaMalfa is running for Congress, and will do so with the endorsement of Congressman Herger,? GOP consultant Dave Gilliard told the Flash Report.

LaMalfa is expected to make his announcement Tuesday morning.

Herger, 66, had told the Record Searchlight in August he remained ?intrigued and excited? by his position and enjoyed the ?big fight going on in Washington.?

Three other Republicans in the House have also announced they will not seek reelection in 2012: Reps. Steve Austria (Ohio), Elton Gallegly (Calif.) and Geoff Davis (Ky.).
