Four days left for Construction Awards nominations | Isle News : Jersey

The Jersey Construction Awards, which launched in April, is now in the last week in which nominations can be made. The nominations period will officially close Friday 7 June with a deadline for entry submissions of 12 July.

Andy Fleet, Chairman of the Construction Awards, said: ?We have received a fantastic response already, but there is still time to submit your nominations before the closing date in a few days time. These awards are an important celebration of excellence and quality in the construction industry and we want to ensure that no potential nomination is omitted?.

Karren Brady has now been confirmed as the key-note speaker for this year?s Jersey Construction Awards Gala Dinner to be held Saturday 14 September at Hotel de France. Business confidante to Alan Sugar on The Apprentice, Karren is a renowned business leader, speaker and famed as being the ?first lady of football?.

The Gala Evening, the highlight of Construction Week, will culminate in the presentation of the awards to companies and individuals from all sectors of the construction industry. Tables fill up fast each year so bookings are being taken now and can be made by email to info@jerseyconstruction.org.

In April the judging panel was announced with two judges returning from last year; Mike King, Chief Executive Officer, Economic Development Department, Andrew Scate, Chief Executive Officer, Department of the Environment and two additional panel members; Kevin Keen, Chief Executive of Jersey Post and Professor Edward Sallis OBE, retired Principal of Highlands College.
