The Growing Epidemic of Obesity in Children and Teens | welcome ...

Most weight-related health conditions involve time. What we mean is it takes a good deal of time for the serious symptoms to begin surfacing. Of course, particularly in the case of childhood obesity, early years of the condition can set things in motion for problems later on. Even so, kids usually don?t have as many medical problems result from obesity because they are still young. But, the very condition itself is referred to as being a risk factor for later complications and disease conditions. Liver disease, heart disease, high blood pressure, certain kinds of cancer, diabetes and stroke are all serious possibilities.

The obese child is on a devastating path toward serious health issues. For example, fatty liver disease is just about the most common disease that will affect the liver. It wasn?t that long ago that most liver problems were blamed on alcoholism or sclerosis of the liver. However, we now know that it is long term obesity that most greatly affects fatty liver disease. What typically makes the problems with the liver worse is the fact that an obese person has really terrible metabolism. Your liver helps things more by acting as the detoxifying agent to rid your body of anything that is not good for it. This puts an intense demand and weight upon the rest of the body?s systems in kids who are obese.

Medical research has been done all over the world that proves that obstructive sleep apnea is a more common occurrence in kids and teens than ?regular? kids. This is a condition that is quite serious because it actually blocks the child?s airway while he or she is sleeping. Kids who are overweight or suffer from obesity are more likely to have issues with snoring but that?s not as straightforward as it sounds, say the researchers who have been studying the problem. Sometimes kids snore because they have what is called OSA or obstructive sleep apnea. One possible approach that has been studied is using the procedure, adenotonsillectomy, to treat this condition in obese teens and younger children.

Part and parcel with the constant bullying and feelings of being ostracized they encounter at school, kids who suffer from obesity are just about guaranteed to develop some form of social dysfunction. One other term used is ?social disabilities? in which there are high degrees of depression, extreme levels of unhappiness, etc. A natural result of all of this is extreme levels of stress which are well-known to be unhealthy from a psychological perspective as well as physical. Some obese kids deal with this by becoming bullies. What, obviously, is happening here is that the behavior is a sign of the anger that has more than likely accumulated from being bullied themselves.

An emergency plan of action is what we think these children need, so that they can start to lose weight. But we do know that these children are in many unique situations. It is a serious situation that so far has eluded serious inroads to reverse. So if you wish to be sure childhood obesity does not show up, then be sure you follow the above how to get your ex boyfriend back suggestions for the best results.
